12 sales AI tools to watch in 2026, and what each is actually for
Revenue and funding show which sales AI products are being bought, not which ones work, so here is what a dozen of the most-reported tools do and where the skepticism belongs.

The sales AI market has a counting problem. Gartner estimates that of the thousands of vendors now calling their products "agentic," only about 130 are the real thing, and it has a name for the rest: "agent washing." The same firm predicts that more than 40% of agentic AI projects will be canceled by the end of 2027 (Gartner, 2025).
Adoption, meanwhile, looks close to universal. In Salesforce's survey of 4,050 sales professionals, 87% of sales organizations said they use AI for prospecting, forecasting, lead scoring or email drafting (Salesforce, 2026). Salesforce sells AI, so that is vendor research, and HubSpot, which also sells AI, reports that 92% of sales reps use AI tools (HubSpot, 2025). Take the direction seriously and the precision less so.
Between the hype and the cancellations sits a practical question for anyone in field marketing, demand gen or sales: which tools have real traction, and what are they for? The twelve below are the ones with the most substantial public numbers. Every figure is either company-reported or from a named survey, and labeled that way. Revenue and funding tell you a product is being bought. They do not tell you it will work for your team.
CRM-native AI
1. Salesforce Agentforce
Salesforce's agent platform sits inside the CRM many enterprise sales teams already run on. The company reported $1.2 billion in Agentforce annual recurring revenue, up 205% year over year (Salesforce, 2026). It also reported that its own internal SDR agents contacted 130,000 previously untouched leads in four months and generated 3,200 opportunities (Salesforce, 2026, company-reported).
What it is for: working the long tail of leads humans never reach. For event teams, that is the pile of registrants and badge scans that goes cold after a show. The catch is that an agent can only work records that exist and are accurate.
2. HubSpot Breeze Prospecting Agent
HubSpot's prospecting agent had nearly 17,000 customers as of its Q2 2026 earnings call, up 28% quarter over quarter (HubSpot, 2026, company-reported).
What it is for: agent-assisted prospecting for teams already on HubSpot, without adding another vendor. Read every draft before it sends. An agent that personalizes from stale CRM fields personalizes wrongly, at scale.
3. HubSpot Breeze Data Agent
The less glamorous sibling, and possibly the more telling one. Data Agent had more than 16,000 customers, up 80% quarter over quarter (HubSpot, 2026, company-reported).
What it is for: work on the data layer of the CRM itself. That growth rate says something about where teams feel the pain. Salesforce found 74% of sales professionals are prioritizing data cleansing (Salesforce, 2026), and Bain reports that in sales AI projects, sometimes as much as 80% of existing data has to be removed because it is old, inaccurate or confusing (Bain, 2025).
Conversation and revenue intelligence
4. Gong
Gong reported ARR above $500 million, growing more than 55% year over year, with more than 5,000 customers including half of the Fortune 10. Usage of Gong Assistant grew more than 200% year over year (Gong, 2026, company-reported).
What it is for: turning sales conversations into data about deals. The angle for field marketers is indirect but real. When an account's calls start referencing a dinner or a conference, that is evidence of event influence that a click-based attribution model will never record. Someone still has to go and look for it.
Data, enrichment and prospecting
5. Clay
Clay raised a $115 million Series D at a $7.1 billion valuation, led by Wellington Management, and has more than 17,000 customers. Its valuation more than doubled from $3.1 billion in about 13 months (Tech Funding News, 2026).
What it is for: assembling and enriching prospect data from many sources into lists a team can act on. It suits teams that treat list-building as an engineering problem. Its limit is the one every enrichment product shares: data about people goes stale, and job titles are the first thing to rot.
6. Apollo.io
Apollo reports more than $145 million in ARR, 500,000+ companies and 50,000+ weekly active users. Its last round was a $100 million Series D at a $1.6 billion valuation in 2023 (Apollo.io, 2025, company-reported).
What it is for: a contact database and outreach tool in one product, which appeals to smaller teams that want fewer tools. Be clear about what you are buying. A database is a snapshot, and it will disagree with your CRM more often than you would like.
Agentic SDRs
7. Artisan (Ava)
Artisan sells an AI business development rep called Ava. It raised a $25 million Series A in April 2025, led by Glade Brook Capital (Built In SF, 2025). The company has not published revenue figures.
What it is for: fully automated outbound. Treat the category with care. 73% of B2B buyers actively avoid suppliers that send irrelevant outreach (Gartner, 2025), and volume is exactly what an AI SDR produces. Beyond the funding announcement, there is little independent reporting on how this category performs, which says something on its own.
Writing and general assistants
8. Writer
Writer raised a $200 million Series C at a $1.9 billion valuation in November 2024, the most recent round in our research (Business Wire, 2024).
What it is for: enterprise writing with brand and governance controls. It matters most where legal and brand review slow everything down. Jasper, a competitor, found in its own 2026 survey that friction in cross-functional review rose 3.4 times year over year (Jasper, 2026). Vendor research, but the complaint will sound familiar to anyone who has waited on approval for invite copy.
9. ChatGPT
The default. 61% of marketers say their company provides ChatGPT or OpenAI, and 57% name ChatGPT as their favorite tool (Marketing AI Institute, 2025).
What it is for: drafting, summarizing and first-pass research. For event teams, it is where invite copy, recaps and guest briefs are already being drafted, sanctioned or not. The discipline is the same as with any assistant. Do not paste in data you would not want leaving the building, and do not trust a title or a number it hands you without checking.
10. Microsoft Copilot
38% of marketers use Copilot (Marketing AI Institute, 2025).
What it is for: AI inside the Microsoft tools where much enterprise work already happens. Its advantage is proximity to your email, calendar and documents. That same proximity is the governance question to raise with IT before anyone points it at a guest list.
11. Google Gemini
32% of marketers use Gemini (Marketing AI Institute, 2025).
What it is for: the equivalent assistant for teams on Google Workspace. In practice, the choice between Copilot and Gemini tends to follow whichever productivity suite the company already pays for, and marketing rarely makes it.
One from the event side
12. CventIQ
Strictly speaking, not a sales tool, but it is the AI field marketers are most likely to meet inside an event platform. Cvent announced a multi-year technology investment of more than $1 billion focused on AI, under the CventIQ name, and reports 34,000+ organizations and 445,000+ users (Cvent, 2026, company-reported).
What it is for: AI inside the event management platform. The question to ask of any event platform's AI is whether its outputs ever reach the CRM. Only one in five enterprises has integrated its primary event platform with its wider martech stack (Forrester, 2024).
Before you buy anything on this list
The numbers above measure commercial momentum. They are not evidence of effectiveness, and the independent data on effectiveness is sobering. 45% of martech leaders say vendor-offered AI agents fail to meet their expectations for promised business performance (Gartner, 2025). Gartner also predicts that by 2028, AI agents will outnumber sellers 10 to 1, yet fewer than 40% of sellers will say agents improved their productivity (Gartner, 2025). That is a forecast, not a measurement, but it is a pointed one.
On the marketing side, only 3% of B2B marketers consider AI agents core to their strategy, even though 28% are experimenting with them (Content Marketing Institute, 2025). And among go-to-market professionals who do not use AI, 80% cite concerns about accuracy (ZoomInfo, 2025, vendor research).
A simple test cuts through most of it. Before signing anything, write down four things: the task the tool will do, the data it will read, the output it will produce, and the person who will check that output. If you cannot fill in all four, the tool is not your problem yet.
